BLVS conducts several training
programs targeted at the tribal population in the area, as well as the local
youth, women, farmers and craftspeople. The action area is Banswara. The
training programs intend to enhance the self- maintenancecapabilities of the people in a sustainable way, to enhance or preserve
specific knowledge about skills and environment related issues and to increase
people’s income sources. Produced goods will be sold on the market and the
earned money will contribute to the capital of the family. A good performance
in these domains, we believe, is an important step towards a fair and enduring
development.
BLVS has been working in collaboration with various agencies, NGO’s and artists to provide workshops on pertinent social issues, responding to perceived areas of need. Professionals and artists have taken up subjects such as child labor, education, sanitation, agriculture and the dignity of women and provide basic orientation programs aiming at a long lasting change on a grass root level.
